For all of the college students living on campus without kitchens, here are some dorm-friendly (and everyone-friendly) breakfast recipes that you can make for breakfast! Even if you don’t live in small spaces, these can be great go to recipes in the midst of your busy schedule! The best thing about these recipes is that you can customize it however you like, and you can change it up every time you make them. This can help you not get tired of making the same thing every morning and allow you to use up all of your ingredients to their full potential!

Easy Oats

Ingredients:

Quick Steel Cut Oats

Half of one ripe banana

Milk of choice (I like almond for this recipe!)

Honey

Nut Butter (optional)

Cinnamon

Toppings! Berries, more honey, granola, raisins, ETC!

Directions:

Mash one half of a banana in a microwavable bowl with a fork. Add 3/4 cup of quick steel cut oats and combine. Add milk of choice (I usually eyeball this, but maybe about 1/2 cup). Mix together with a tablespoon or more of honey and about a teaspoon of cinnamon. If you would like to add a nut butter, I suggest melting it before to make it easier to mix! Microwave for one minute, mix with a fork, and microwave for another 30 seconds or until you have reached your favored consistency. Then, add your favorite toppings! I love berries and honey personally, but you can add peanut butter, raisins, Nutella, and so much more.

Smoothie Bowl

If you live in a small space and do not have a blender yet, I highly recommend the Nutribullet! You can find them at Target or Walmart and they are pretty affordable. AND they make the perfect serving size for you and a friend!

Ingredients:

Frozen Strawberries

Frozen Blueberries

Half of a banana

One handful of spinach

Milk of choice (Again, I Iike almond milk!)

Toppings: Granola, berries, honey

Directions

Blend about 1 cup of frozen strawberries, 1/2 cup of blueberries, 1/2 of a banana, one handful of spinach, and milk (according to the consistency you like). If you want a thicker consistency, add one cup of ice water and less milk! Then add your toppings and you are GOOD TO GO! SO easy!

Homemade Starbucks Egg White Sandwich

Ingredients:

Eggs or egg whites (you can buy a carton of egg whites, or just separate the eggs you already have)

Turkey Bacon

Cheese of choice

English Muffins

Salt

Pepper

Butter (optional)

Directions:

Cook your egg whites over the stove. If you are cooking in a dorm, you can microwave your egg whites in a microwave safe dish for 1 minute and 30 seconds. I suggest adding cracked salt and pepper for flavor! Toast your English muffins and add butter if desired. Cook your bacon over the stove or in the microwave using the directions on the package. Then add your eggs, bacon, and cheese to your English muffins and WALLAH! Enjoy!

Grab and GO!

If you truly don’t have the time or energy to make any of these recipes, here are a handful of my favorite grab and go breakfasts for the morning!

Made Good Granola Bars or Granola Minis
